Massachusetts SR22 Insurance

Massachusetts SR22 Insurance

The State of Massachusetts does not participate in an SR22 insurance program*. However, if you are a resident of the State of Massachusetts and have experienced a problem with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in another state, you may be able to obtain a NON OWNER SR22 policy if you have secondary residence in that state and reside in that state for at least eight months of the year. The only exception to this is if your problem occurred in the state of New Hampshire; if you live in Massachusetts and need an SR22 filing for the state of New Hampshire, you will need to find a company that can do that combination.

An SR22 high-risk auto insurance policy will satisfy the requirements of the state in which a violation occurred. Since the suspension in the other state will be lifted, the State of Massachusetts DMV requirements will also be satisfied. If you own a vehicle, you will need to find an insurance company that can insure your vehicle in the state of Massachusetts, and do a filing in the state that requires an SR22.
